Moving from practice management to practice leadership can seem a daunting task, but it is worth the effort. When you move in this direction you are working to release much of what you commonly do as the dentist/business owner and move into a leadership role rather than that of practice manager, even if you hire a practice manager. Your staff members have far more talent, ability, and desire than their job requires or even allows them to exercise. This is common if the practice is managed rather than lead. The system has become one that is stale or stagnant, rather than rich and growing. This is where you begin to see performance difficulties within every aspect of the practice. Learning to develop a system of leadership, then putting it into practice is where you can change all that. Bring your staff and learn all about how to create a culture of leadership. We will have something for everyone; dentists, hygienists, assistants, and office staff. For the morning portion we separate the dentists and practice managers away from the other staff and teach both groups leadership skills they will need in the practice itself. We then will provide you with a unique teaching lunch session that will fill you both intellectually and physically. The afternoon session is a monitored work session where you begin to put the skills attained into practice before you even leave. This allows you to know that this has not just been another wasted session on what to do, without any practical application to your individual practice.
